  2. Enter wall height (standard is 8 ft)
  3. Count doors (we deduct 21 sq ft each) and windows (15 sq ft each)
  4. Select number of coats — most projects need 2

Coverage assumptions

This calculator assumes 350 square feet per gallon for one coat with standard interior latex paint. Premium paints may cover less (~300 sq ft/gal); primer may cover more (~400 sq ft/gal).
